Many gate problems have simple solutions. Before calling for service, try these basic troubleshooting steps. You might save a service call fee.

Gate Won't Respond to Remote

Check First

  • Replace remote battery
  • Try another remote if available
  • Check if keypad works
  • Verify power at operator

Power Check

  • Check breaker/fuse
  • Look for tripped GFCI
  • Verify power indicator on operator

Gate Opens But Won't Close

Photo Eye Issues (Most Common)

  • Check for obstructions in beam
  • Clean sensor lenses
  • Look for cobwebs
  • Check alignment (LEDs)
